Diary Date for 1st March.
The Rural Development Plan Sir Gâr’s Mentro project will be hosting ‘On the Tracks’ a series of live performances on the Heart of Wales Line train to celebrate St David’s Day this March 1st.
Setting off from Llandovery, passengers will be treated to live performances from rural Carmarthenshire’s hottest new artists as the train passes through Llangadog, Ffairfach, Ammanford and Llangennech before arriving in Llanelli.
Performances include: acoustic sets from Gillie Rowland and Martin Goddard, poetry from Frank Thomas, folk songs with the Aunty Depressants and a set from DJ Jason Lye Phillips.
All of the artists involved in the event have worked closely with Tomas Marks, the Mentro Development officer and the event has been organised to help promote these young professionals and their talents.
"This event is a fantastic opportunity for the young performers that have received support through Mentro to showcase their talent. The event will highlight the growing talent in Carmarthenshire" says Tomas.
